“I joined Quora Group nearly six years ago with the aim to help develop and grow the Construction side of the business, within the intervening years we have seen office staff numbers rise from one Project Manager and one Estimator to four Senior and two Junior Project Managers and two Estimators, culminating in a significant growth in turnover.

My typical day revolves around working with the Estimating team on finalising tender submissions, supporting the Project Managers in delivery of their projects, and fostering relationship with our clients. This is in addition to the usual responsibilities expected of a director of thriving company, from Business development, dealing with Accounts and HR to taking the bins out.

Unlike many in the Contracting side of the industry I did not start my career on site, instead I came from an academic background more suited to Consultancy, I have found benefits from this alternative path as it has allowed me to approach our work with a slightly different skill sets and insights.
