Craig Firth

Managing Director

“In 2005, my father and I co-founded Quora Group. What began as a small father-and-son operation has grown into a team of over 100 talented professionals, delivering projects across the UK. I’m especially proud of standout projects that have defined our journey – like delivering the mechanical package for Envision AESC’s new EV battery Gigafactory in Sunderland alongside SES Engineering Services, and refurbishing Barbour’s iconic South Shields factory in partnership with Brims Construction. Hitting a £15 million turnover in 2024 was another huge milestone for us, and I credit that strong year-on-year growth to our unwavering commitment to quality work and consistent delivery.

As a leader, I’ve always believed that a company is only as strong as its people. That’s why I make it a priority to invest in our team at every level – from bringing in new apprentices and helping them grow, to continuous training and development opportunities for all our staff. Quora Group is a family-run business at heart, and I strive to maintain that personal, people-first approach in how we work and support each other. I also lean on my strong financial acumen, something I’ve honed by continuously expanding my knowledge of business finance and best practices, to ensure we make informed decisions that keep the business healthy and moving in the right direction.

So what’s next for us? I’m excited about the future of Quora Group – we’re planning strategic expansion and exploring new markets, but we’ll do it the right way. For me, “the right way” means embedding sustainability into all our operations and projects. We’re already focused on delivering more energy-efficient solutions and finding ways to cut carbon emissions wherever possible. My goal is to make sure that as we grow, we also lead on green initiatives and continue making a positive impact on our industry, environment and community.”
