“I am proud to have been part of the Quora team since the inception of the Group’s Mechanical Department in 2014. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in many of the major contracts delivered to valued clients across the UK and Europe.
My path into the industry began with an apprenticeship, following in the footsteps of my father and two uncles, who – I’m sure they won’t mind me saying – are very much from the ‘old school’.
This, combined with years of hands-on site experience, has given me a grounded and practical understanding of the everyday elements that contribute to successful project delivery.
My core responsibilities as Operations Director include overseeing day-to-day business activities, managing budgets, ensuring company efficiency, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and driving continuous process improvement.
A key aspect of my role is maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and quality in all areas of our work. We operate in environments where attention to detail is critical – not only for successful outcomes, but more importantly for the well-being of everyone involved.
I continue to work closely with our SHEQ team and project leadership to ensure robust systems are in place, fostering a strong safety culture and embedding quality assurance throughout each phase of project delivery.
I also dedicate significant time to business development, focusing on strengthening our reputation within the industry and building long-term relationships with both new and existing clients across a wide range of sectors.
Although my role has evolved significantly over the years, I still find the greatest satisfaction in being on site wherever possible, working closely with our Project Managers, Engineers, Coordinators, and Installation Teams. Supporting them with the tools, guidance, and systems they need to deliver a high-quality service to our clients remains a personal priority.
I have been fortunate to witness Quora’s consistent growth and success, while benefitting from the opportunity to work alongside highly knowledgeable and experienced professionals who are well respected within the industry.
